In a recent announcement, the company revealed that the Starling Hub is no longer available for purchase. The end of an era for one of our favourite smart home products.
Why Starling Home Hub is No Longer Available?
Several factors influenced Starling’s decision to discontinue the Home Hub. The primary issue was the rising costs for small, US-based companies.
One of the biggest challenges has been the increasing tariffs on components needed to make their products.
These tariffs made it financially unsustainable for Starling to continue producing and selling the Home Hub at a price that would cover costs.
Despite their commitment to quality, Starling has had to stop manufacturing and selling the product.
Support for Existing Customers
While the product may no longer be available for purchase Starling is committed to supporting its existing customers. The company has reassured users that technical support, security updates, and bug fixes will continue for the time being. Additionally, Starling will also continue to offer the Starling Protect service, ensuring that existing customers still have access to essential features.
The company has confirmed that it is working to maintain enough stock to honor product warranties for the foreseeable future. The company intends to fulfil its commitment to providing support for as long as possible.
